Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. is widely considered one of the founding fathers of the bourbon industry, fighting for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. During his time, Taylor implemented several innovative methods still used today, including climate controlled aging warehouses. Many of the barrels selected for the E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel are aged in Warehouse C, which was built by Taylor in 1881 and proven to be an excellent aging warehouse. Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake.
Bottled directly from the barrels, reflecting the production of whiskey in the days before Prohibition. Aromas of cooked berries with rich caramel and slightly floral notes mingle with bold flavors of spice and toasty vanilla, dried oak and pepper for a lingering fruit finish.
Tasting Notes: The aroma carries lightly toasted oak, with dried figs and butterscotch. One sip brings flavors of sweetness balanced with tobacco and dark spices. The finish is just long enough to prepare the palate for another sip. The bottle itself is a likeness to Colonel Taylor's original design used over a century ago.
This is a gift so I’m not rating product even though I know it is excellent.
Customer service was very good called when order was in and delivered when I requested thank you
I ordered a hard to find wine from Mexico. I was able to order it very easily and got it right away. I was very happy with the care of how my bottle was packaged. The delivery was on time and I got alerted of the day it was arriving. The delivery required my signature which I found very good to ensure it was delivered.
