Privacy & Data Practices Policy
Last Updated: July 22, 2026
Privacy & Data Practices
ShopSK (“ShopSK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Super King Markets, runs the website shopsk.com (the “Site”). This Privacy & Data Practices policy applies to all visitors and users of the Site, including California residents (“you” or “your”). It does not apply to information collected through third-party delivery platforms such as Instacart, which maintain their own privacy policies. It is intended to be read together with our Terms of Use, which may include additional terms such as dispute resolution and arbitration provisions.
In Short
ShopSK is an online store where you can shop and check out directly. We collect the information needed to create your account, process and deliver your orders, and provide customer service. We also use analytics, advertising, and session-analytics technologies to understand how the Site is used and to measure and support advertising. Some of this activity is a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising under California law. Where required, we present a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, we offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” choice, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. ShopSK sells alcohol; you must be 21 or older with valid ID at delivery.
Categories of Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers — such as name, email address, phone number, delivery address, account log-in credentials, and online identifiers such as IP address, device and browser identifiers, and cookie or pixel IDs.
- Commercial information — such as orders and purchases, cart contents, gift-card and store-credit balances, product reviews, and any personalization or gift-message text you enter.
- Internet or other electronic network activity — such as pages viewed, links clicked, searches, add-to-cart and checkout events, and other interactions with the Site and our emails.
- Geolocation data (approximate) — such as the approximate city or region derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation from your device.
- Inferences — inferences drawn from the above to personalize your experience and to measure and support advertising.
Payment card information you enter at checkout is processed by our e-commerce and payment providers; we do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
How We Collect Information
You provide it to us. We collect information you enter when you create an account, place and pay for an order, choose delivery, write a review, redeem a gift card, sign up for email or SMS marketing, or contact us. If you make a purchase, we collect the contact, order, and delivery details needed to fulfill it.
Automated collection. We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect information automatically, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from IP address, and interactions with the Site. We use third-party website-analytics tools (including a privacy-oriented, cookieless option) and a session-analytics tool that records on-page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation to help us improve the Site. Functional cookies remember your preferences (such as the store you selected) and are necessary for the Site to work.
Advertising technologies. We use advertising and measurement technologies, including social media and search advertising pixels and conversion and remarketing tags. Some of these transmit online identifiers, and in some cases hashed contact information such as an email address, to advertising platforms to measure and support advertising. These technologies are described further in Sections 4 and 5.
Third-party features. Pages may include third-party features such as a map-based store locator, fonts, security tools, and content delivery networks. When your browser loads these features, the provider may receive technical information such as your IP address and set or read cookies. We also use an accessibility widget on the Site.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to create and manage your account and authenticate you; process, fulfill, and deliver your orders and returns; provide customer service; send communications and marketing you request or sign up for; understand and improve how the Site is used; measure and support our advertising; verify eligibility for age-restricted (21+) purchases; help secure the Site and prevent fraud; and comply with our legal obligations.
How We Share Information
Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the Site under contracts that require them to use the information only to provide services to us, consistent with California service-provider requirements. These include our e-commerce, checkout, and accelerated-payment platform; our email and SMS marketing provider; on-site search and merchandising; order-limit tools; shipping, fulfillment, and delivery providers; gift-card and store-credit tools; customer messaging; order and data management tools; our accessibility widget; content delivery networks; and our website-analytics providers.
Advertising partners. We disclose online identifiers, activity data, and in some cases hashed contact data to advertising companies and platforms — including social media and search advertising platforms, advertising networks, and an upsell/offers-network partner — for cross-context behavioral advertising. We treat these disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law. You may opt out as described in Section 5.
Public content. If you submit a product review, your reviewer name and review are displayed publicly on the Site through our reviews provider.
Delivery platforms. If you choose to shop through a third-party delivery platform such as Instacart linked from our Site, you leave this Site and that platform’s own privacy policy applies.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
The categories of personal information we “sell” or “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the categories of third parties who receive it, are:
- Categories sold/shared: Identifiers; Commercial information; Internet or other electronic network activity; Inferences.
- Categories of third parties: social media and search advertising platforms; advertising networks; and offers-network partners.
We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Sale/Sharing and Your Opt-Out Choices
We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising, analytics, and session-analytics technologies may involve a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You have the right to opt out, and you can do so in either of these ways:
- Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of our Site.
- Enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser or device.
When you opt out or send a GPC signal, we apply your choice to the advertising, analytics, measurement, and session-analytics technologies used on the Site. Your choice applies to the specific browser, device, or account where you make it; if you use multiple browsers or devices, or clear your cookies, you may need to opt out again. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, but you may use GPC or the footer link instead.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Access or receive a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right; if that changes, we will provide the required notice and choice.
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights. To opt out of sale or sharing, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” footer link or enable GPC (Section 5). To make any other request, contact us using the information in Section 12, or through your account. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity, and an authorized agent must provide proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Cookies and Your Choices
Where required by law, we present a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising cookies. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. Functional cookies necessary for the Site are always used. To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising, use the footer link or GPC as described in Section 5.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. Account, order, and transaction records are kept while your account is active and as needed for tax, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes. Marketing sign-up and suppression (unsubscribe) information is kept so we can honor your choices. Analytics identifiers are generally kept from about 13 months up to 2 years; advertising identifiers generally about 90 days; and session-analytics identifiers about 1 year, depending on settings. Server and security logs are kept for a limited period.
Security
We maintain reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information, and payment information is handled using industry-standard protections by our payment providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children’s Privacy and Age Restriction
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. In addition, because ShopSK sells alcohol, the Site is intended for adults, and purchasers must be 21 or older with valid identification at delivery. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be posted on this page.
