Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1997, is vivacious and floral. With a heart aged in rare Château Montrose red wine casks, from Saint-Estèphe in Bordeaux, this single malt recalls radiant new dawn at Glenmorangie.
Colour: deep ocher On the nose: An amazing, fruity-perfumed complexity. Floral notes of roses, jasmine, and cloves mix with aromas of red berries, mint toffee, pastries or cakes, and top notes of sweets. With a little , more mild, floral notes of roses and cloves emerge, with a subtle spiciness of sweet chili, cloves, and ginger.
On the palate, a slight tingling, gently spicy is followed by a symphony of sweet candy flavors, red berry fruits with pineapple and pear, and mandarin wedges in fruit jelly. With sweet notes of ginger and chili, fine marzipan, and candied apples.
The finish is sweet, rich, long, and delicately spicy.
