Until recently If you wanted to try a truly great Pomegranate wine, you would have to take the small hop, skip and a jump to Armenia.
It's an intriguing balance of flavors from pomegranate to cranberry to cardamom, strawberry, clove and cinnamon.
Its great all by itself served slightly chilled like a red, or to accent foods that have a slight kick to them. Grilled or BBQ, or autumn dishes like roast turkey or butternut squash work great!
