DESCRIPTION

Glenfarclas 40 Yr Old Single Malt Scotch 750ml

Glenfarclas 40 Yr Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a rich, dark mysterious gold colour with a nose reminiscent of relaxing in an old leather armchair while eating walnuts and chocolate covered raisins. The flavour is sweet initially with orange segments dipped in liquid chocolate. Then a lovely flavour of burnt brown sugar at the back of the mouth The finish is dry oozing with big tannins and more rich dark cocoa beans. Let the whisky breathe a little or add a drop or two of water to fully open up the dram.

Color: Rich dark mysterious Gold

Aroma: Antique leather, walnuts and chocolate covered raisins.

Palate: A sweet initial taste, orange segments, chocolate. Then a lovely flavour of burnt brown sugar.

Finish: The dry finish oozes big tannins and more rich dark cocoa beans. Let the whisky breathe a little or add a drop or two of water to fully open up the dram.

Glenfarclas 40 Yr.

With the prices of Whiskey these last few years certain ones are just hard to fine and hard to find close to retail price but with a fine this I had to purchase. I have been sipping on the Glenfarcles 25 for some time now, and I been in wat of the 40 but like most things pricing is out of control so when I seen that shop SK had it for a reasonable price it was well worth it. Of course this is something that I could not enjoy on my own so I had 2 of my really good whiskey drinking buddies enjoy with me. I never had the 40 so I was a little apprehensive that I might not enjoy it as much as I have been imagining/anticipating, but I tell you the nose on this is just Beautiful our first dram, reassure me that I had no regrets for what I spent.
