Château Magnol's winegrowing history goes back to 1842 when Monsieur Delisse, an experienced agronomist, consolidated the vineyards surrounding the former Château du Dehez. The estate was purchased under the name "Château Magnol" in 1978 by Barton & Guestier, who undertook major investments in the vineyards and cellars. The efforts were crowned with successs when Château Magnol was classified Cru Bourgeois in 1987. Deep and brilliant cherry red with violet highlights. Barton & Guestier Chateau Magnol Bordeaux is expressive, rich and complex nose mixing blackberries (blackcurrant, black cherry) and well balanced spicy and minty notes. Harmonious, well balanced full, fine and elegant with ripe tannins. The aftertaste of Barton & Guestier Chateau Magnol Bordeaux is rich and aromatic (fruity, spicy with a hint of vanilla and tobacco notes) Blend: 48% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc.
I ordered a hard to find wine from Mexico. I was able to order it very easily and got it right away. I was very happy with the care of how my bottle was packaged. The delivery was on time and I got alerted of the day it was arriving. The delivery required my signature which I found very good to ensure it was delivered.
