Photographing ID for age verification

First, the products are great. However, your employee’s photographing my drivers license was inappropriate. I’m 75 years old, and your employee asked for an ID to verify my age. I complied. Next he asked to take a Photo of my California drivers license. I unfortunately let him take a photo of my ID with his phone. This is the first time any delivery service asked for a photo of my ID. This action by your company is inappropriate and could result in ID theft. If it’s your company policy to do this, is it a company phone? Are there guarantees that the photo will not be shared or stolen? If this is your procedure, then you are responsible for misuse of the photo and any crime associated with the photo misuse. If not, please investigate your employee’s reasons to take a photo and safeguards to prevent its misuse. You are still responsible.
