It is the newest member of the most awarded tequila, 1800. It celebrates the legacy and agriculture of the Tequila region in Mexico. Inspired by the jewel of Jalisco, the Guachimontones.

It is made from the best agaves of our land, nourished by springs and clay soil with high iron content due to the proximity to the Tequila Volcano. It is a tribute to the orange trees that once filled the landscape of Teuchitlan Jalisco before becoming an agave landscape.

It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a classic old fashioned cocktail. It pairs well with beef and pork stews or roasts, as well as aged cheeses and desserts with citrus touches like crepes suzette.

Inspired by Guachimontones, an archaeological jewel of the state of Jalisco, comes the new Tequila 1800 Guachimontón Añejo, a special edition that pays homage to the pre-Hispanic past of Teuchitlán, a region where orange trees once reigned and is now dominated by the agave landscape.

It is made from the best agaves in that area, nourished by springs and clay soil with high iron content due to the proximity to the volcano. Guachimontón is a name that derives from the guaje trees that were brought during the colonial era. The establishment in an area that is now part of the history of this distilled spirit allowed Tequila 1800 to recognize its heritage and the land that saw the birth of its pyramids.

The bottle of Tequila 1800 Guachimontón is skillfully designed to emulate the reliefs of these monuments, reflecting the cycles of infinite time, and on the other hand, there is the red color that represents the clay of the volcanic soil.

But it was also a good opportunity to celebrate another key moment in the brand's history, the one in which barrels were used to create the first aged tequila in history. This is why inside Tequila 1800 Guachimontón, there is an aged tequila made with the best agaves matured in new American oak barrels and finished in barrels that previously held orange tequila liqueur.

When served in a glass, copper tones and an amber color can be appreciated, and when brought to the mouth, it is flooded with notes of honey, orange peel, subtle laurel notes, vanilla, fresh tobacco, and mineral aromas.
