Case Azul Joven Pink Limited Edition 2022 is a Joven tequila created for our annual effort to help raise breast cancer awareness. Proceeds from this release go to Grupo de Recuperation Total (RETO), an organization that promotes the importance of early detection of breast cancer. RETO also helps provide accessible healthcare and treatment to diagnosed women.
For the decoration of this decanter, we were inspired by butterflies and their process of metamorphosis, a visual metaphor for the beauty, strength, and transformative healing journey of the breast cancer survivor. A pink ribbon, the symbol of this cause, wraps around an all-white decanter; along its loop, stunningly painted by hand in gold, we see the journey of the butterfly: from its early caterpillar phase to its time as a chrysalis, to its final form as a winged beauty.

The tequila created for Clase Azul Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Tequila pays homage to the signature Clase Azul Tequila Reposado. Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco reimagined its creation to give it a special touch.
Part of the agave used to make this blend was milled using a traditional stone mill called a tahona, a practice that dates back to the origins of tequila. In addition, the fermentation process was extended to accentuate the liquid’s citrus and fruity notes.
Clase Azul Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Tequila was aged American whiskey casks, each one imparting its own distinct and rich tasting notes.
Aroma: agave syrup, banana, woody notes, toasted coconut, soft vanilla, a hint of caramel, semi-bitter chocolate, apple and malted grain.
Palate: notes of caramel, vanilla, almond, agave syrup and banana; toasted oak finish, cocoa, slight earthy mineral character"
Clase Azul Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Tequila is 100% made from Blue Agave, produced at one of the highest points in the state of Jalisco. Its climate and land properties offer a characteristic tequila flavor. Each of the agaves is grown for 6 to 8 years before harvest. Organic agave requires approximately 72 hours of cooking in old masonry ovens. The baking gives the agave core a unique sweetness – easily perceived by the complexity of aroma and flavors.
