Tamarind Margarita with Mezcal
It’s not a hidden fact that we really like Mezcal. It’s like smoky/bbq tequila, and for the Tamarind those are the exact qualities that make this drink stand out. In sync with the smokiness is the sweetness brought from the agave syrup with a dash of the angostura bitters.
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Mezcal
- 1 oz Tamarind Puree
- ¾ oz Cinnamon Puree
- ¼ oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Tajin Seasoning
How to make it:
Now it’s time to make the cocktail. We highly encourage a cocktail shaker but a blender will also suffice (make sure to not include the ice in the blender, because it will dilute your drink). These directions will assume you already are a badass at-home cocktail maker and have gone out to get the shaker.
- Before doing anything, ready your glass by rubbing the brim with salt, dipping it in Tajin seasoning, and placing it in the freezer to chill while you whip up your cocktail.
- Next, add ice and pour the rest of your ingredients into your shaker
- Shaker your drink until a frost forms around your shaker
- Strain in your ready glass and garnish your drink with a lime wedge.
Woah! You’ve just made a beautiful drink (we won’t judge if you put it on the ‘gram). For quality cocktail ingredients and at home delivery, go to ShopSK.
