Château Du Vallier Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux 750ml

The Côtes de Bordeaux designation for red wines produced specifically in the area around Cadillac, at the southern end of the Entre-deux-Mers district of Bordeaux. From the suburbs of Bordeaux in the north to Saint Maixant in the south, these vineyards follow the meanders of the Garonne River and cover a strip of prime soil some 60 kilometers long and up to 5 kilometers wide.

All Côtes de Bordeaux Cadillac wines are red and are made primarily from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with the addition of Malbec, Petit Verdot and even Carmenère permitted. Merlot is the main variety, producing wines that are supple yet approachable at an early age.

Clay and gravel. Cold maceration to extract fruity aromas. Traditional bathing in thermoregulated tanks for 18 - 25 days. Final maceration and malolactic fermentation to refine the wine. Aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels.
