Château Pétrus Pomerol 750ml
Pétrus crafts red wine exclusively from Merlot, thriving in the vineyard's distinct terroir.
Situated in eastern Pomerol within Bordeaux, France, the wine estate of Chateau Petrus, under the ownership of the Mouiex family, stands adjacent to La Conseillante. Renowned for its remarkable single-varietal red wine made from the Merlot grape, the name "Chateau Petrus" finds its origins in "St. Peter" (Petrus in Greek), signifying "rock." During warmer seasons, the estate's soil hardens, resembling rock-like solidity. The most exceptional Pétrus vintages are 1928, 1929, 1945, 1947, 1950, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1989, 1990, 2000, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020.
